Welcome to Forest Hill Union Cemetery! While this is the official name, many know it simply as Forest Hill Cemetery. Created in 1868 it is the first and finest union cemetery in Ohio. More of our history can be found on our history page.
Forest Hill Cemetery toady is 120 acres in size on two elevations with a canal used for small boats and fishing separating the upper sections from the lower sections. The canal is part of the cities bike/walking path which brings many visitors through the cemetery on daily walks. The cemetery also has three walking trails that run from 1 mile to 1.8 miles in length. Please come out and enjoy a walk and take in the gardens, trees, and sites.
Our new labyrinth/cremation section is nearly finished, come out a see this garden in person. The Labyrinth is ready to be used come out and enjoy a walk. Check out the pictures of the Labyrinth being built. See the drawing below of the garden with the labyrinth. And don't forget to come in and ask about our new Section Q in which you can design and layout your own monuments*.
This year the Piqua High School Drama Class held a play on the new Labyrinth at the garden. It was a great event and over 100 guest attended the event. See the picture page for pictures.
